MUA Heaven & Earth Pallet

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I know I always say it but I am going to post a lot more now. I got a camera for Christmas so the pictures I can take now are much better quality. Also I am currently revising for my Chemistry, Biology and Physics exams :(

Anyway for Christmas I got the MUA Heaven & Earth Pallet and love it.

When it came out it became almost impossible to get hold of instore. I ordered mine of the superdrug website for only £4
It comes with 12 gorgeous neutral colours which are all highly pigmented. It also comes with a double ended applicator but I took mine out.
As I think the pictures show, the colour on the top row 2nd to the right is my most used already as I have used it in my crease everyday since I got it.

I honestly cannot find fault in the pallet except the lighter colours could be a bit more pigmented and then it would the most perfect neutral pallet in my opinion.

Look out for more posts and let me know what you think of the picture quality

Christmas gift guide - Teen girls

Sorry for my absence for the past week, my internet completely went then we had to wait for sky to send us a new wifi thing in the post. Anyway i'm back now with a gift guide for teen girls. I have really enjoyed finding the gifts together for this one as I am a teen girl myself.

Eye shadow pallets are quite an easy thing to buy teenagers whatever their age. I think the MUA Heaven & Earth pallet £4 (here) and the MUA immaculate pallet £8 (here) are great for all ages.

This Liberty London Hello Kitty Hatbox is so cute and only £10 (here). It contains a body wash, bubble bath, body scrub, body butter and a organza puff.

Also another great gift is makeup brushes. You can get pretty good quality sets around Christmas in asda. I got one last year but since then I have got into make up more and would highly recommend Japonesque (here) and Sigma (here) brushes especially for older teens. A review on the Japonesque brushes will be up just after Christmas.

Instead of buying little gift sets of mini body sprays I would recommend buying the larger sprays (here) separately and wrapping them up nice and stuff as the big ones can be found for around a £1 but the set of 3 mini ones is £5!

If you have a slightly larger budget then I would say Urban Decay's Naked Pallet is a good buy even though I don't own one myself. £30ish (here)

Benefit's feeling cheeky includes posie tint, high beam and bene tine. I have got bene tint and high beam and would say most older teens would love this set. £14 (here)

Hope you enjoyed this gift guide and if you have any requests for any posts please let me know.

Amazing offer at La Senza

Hi Girlies today I wanted to show you this offer I found on the La Senza website. There pajamas's usually cost £30 for a top and bottom set. They are currently on offer to buy two sets for £25 yes that is correct no typo there. So you are getting 2 pairs for cheaper than 1 pair.

I ordered some for my mum for Christmas and think I may be ordering another 2 pairs for myself.

They have some gorgeous designs. I ordered my mum the owl and cute dog designs. I think this is a great Christmas pressie for people who you don't know what to get them.

Will you be getting these?
Which designs take your fancy?

Blogger Interview #1

So today I have got a interview with the lovely Hayley from www.onewaytickettogorgeous.blogspot.com. Her blog is amazing and I love reading it so I was so pleased when she agreed to take part in this feature.

How did you start blogging and why? I started my blog when I realised people might be interested in my thoughts on beauty and I was always suggesting products to friends so I thought why not make me thoughts public! I set up my blog with no idea what I was doing but have learnt more and more as time goes on through fellow bloggers.

What's your favorite thing about blogging? I like discussing my passion for beauty and discovering how other people feel about products too. It means that we can help each other save money and invest in only the best products on the market!

Do your friends and family know about your blog? Yes they do and they are very supportive. I have two sisters which is great for getting extra feedback on my blog and the ranges I try. I also keep my friends updated on my latest blog posts via facebook and twitter and the response has been great.

What are you 3 favorite make up brands? This is a tough one for me but at the moment I would have to say Chanel, MAC and Bourjois.

What's your daily skincare routine, which product do you use and why? I have used Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for years because I haven't found a product which feels as luxurious and deep cleaning on the skin. It removes every last trace of make up. I then follow with the Liz Earle toner and moisturiser. The products are natural, high quality and don't destroy my bank balance!

What are your top 3 skincare brands? Currently Liz Earle, Origins and Decleor.

A product you think everyone needs to have in their collection? Shu Uemura eyelash curlers. They are a little more expensive than drugstore curlers but the quality is fantastic and they will last! I can't apply mascara to my lashes without using them now.

Whats your favorite foundation? At the moment, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. It leaves the most beautiful natural dewy finish but without looking oily on the t zone. I am eagerly awaiting the launch of Chanel Perfection Lumiere in the new year.

6 Blogs you enjoy reading? Apart from this one! Fleur de force, Beautyjunkieldn, quarterlifetalesofanniebean, thatgirlisgina, secretsfrombehindthemask and jenkiln :)

I have about 10 more of these coming up and if you would like to take part please email me or tweet me, I always reply.

Thanks again Hayley

November Favorites

Ahh I can't believe were almost in December, the year has gone so quick. I am normally to late to do a monthly favorites, so this month I will do it early.

Okay so now my picture won't turn the right way even though when I uploaded it it was fine. Anyway clockwise from top left is Rimmel 25 hour foundation in ivory, Simple spotless skin quick fix wipes, maybelline one by one volume express mascara, Sigma F80 brush, Batise in medium brunette, Colourtrend (from avon) final touch translucent powder, Carmex strawberry lipbalm and witch anti blemish liquid concealer in light.

The sigma F80 is my absolute favorite brush. It can be used for anything: foundation, powder, blush, cream blush...

The witch anti blemish concealer is a great product and one I will definitely be repurchasing. It costs about £4 so really worth it also the coverage it gives on spots is amazing and it lasts all day.

I have only been using the colourtrend powder this month because my rimmel stay matte is now in a million pieces :( This one smells really nice but can become to orange if too much is put on.

For the rimmel foundation, I wouldn't recommend it for pale skin (like me) unless you don't want much coverage as this comes out really orange. I just put the tiniest ammount on to cover redness and even out my skin tone. Its running out and I don't want to repurchase has anyone got any foundation suggestions?

Now these are the favorite favorites, that to me are daily essentials.

Batiste dry shampoo in medium brunette is amazing as before this one I had used up about 7 cans of batiste and they were all white powder and were hard to rub in if I was in a hurry. Now I cant spritz and go no need to worry about looking like I have grey roots. Around £3.99

I used to hate carmex with a passion I hated the whole petrolatum thing and hated the way it felt on. Surprisingly now this is a product I use everyday and it moisturizes your lips so well. About £2

The mascara is great, very volumising and doesn't seem to dry out in the tube a fast as other mascaras. It has a plastic wand which I like and I would certainly repurchase this again.

And lastly the Simple wipes are just what I've been taking my makeup off with.

What are your monthly favorites?

Sigma Cities Collection

Sigma have recently released their limited edition cities travel collection. There are 4 different cities included in the collection: London, Paris, New York and Tokyo. They all include 7 brushes from there best selling ranges. They are E05 Eyeliner, E35 Tapered Blending, E45 Small Tapered Blending, E60 Large Shader, F05 Small Contour, F15 Duo Fibre, and F30 Large Powder.

"London features 18K gold-plated ferrules and chestnut handles, representing London’s poise and elegance." The set cost $89 which is around £57. Personally I think these brushes are gorgeous as you don't come across brown brushes very often and the gold looks great with them.

"  New York features classic and always stylish silver ferrules and black handles, representing this sleek fashion-forward city." These retail for $59 which is equivalent to £38, the other 2 are also this price. I think its a great purchase as the brushes are such great quality and also the container they come in is also 2 brush holders.

"Paris features red ferrules and handles, representing the romance capital of the world."

"Tokyo features electrifying pink ferrules and handles, representing this metropolis and its trend setting culture."

Are you going to be buying these? It is almost Christmas after all !

Christmas gift guide for women part 2

As all of the products from my last Christmas gift guide where from Boots I have decided to do another one with products from anywhere except boots. I have found a few things I would like to receive so I figured other people might too.

I got myself a present today from the Molton Browm stall at the Chatsworth House Christmas Market today and I have to say it was pretty cheap. It was Jo Malone and Molton Brown on the stall and the Jo Malone Christmas Cracker was only £30 when I believe its normally around £40. I will take pictures of these and make a post on them after Christmas as my mum has 'hidden' them until Christmas.

Anyway onto the gifts...........

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual - £10
I personally think this book is a bargain at the moment. Its usually £20 but here its only £10. I have ordered mine and am already getting excited about it arriving.

Stila Daydream palette - £11.50
Again another great gift, you get 22 wearable eyeshadow colors so perfect for anyone who loves makeup. You also get free delivery if you order it from here.

Harajuku Lovers Jingle G EDT 10ml - £12.50 from perfume shop (you can get it cheaper from superdrug and fragrance direct)

This is a gorgeous scent but I am rubbish at describing perfumes so this is what they say....

"This Christmas 'Jingle G' is a super cute Santa with an adorable outfit to boot with a hanging ribbon she can also transform any Christmas tree."

Top notes: White Star Fruit, Gardenia, Tangerine
Heart notes: Honeysuckle, Orange Blossom, Jasmine
Base notes: Vanilla, Cedarwood, Laos Benzion

The stocking filler box from latest in beauty - £4.95 inc p&p
In this cute little box you get :
  • thisworks No Wrinkles Extreme Moisturiser – 3ml jar
  • DP London Firming and Smoothing Body Cream – 50ml tube
  • Richard Ward Couture Hair Optimiser Style Reviver – 50ml spray
  • Dove Nourishing Oil Care Express Treatment Conditioner – 50ml tube
  • Orla Kiely Eau de Parfum – 2ml vial
  • Yardley English Rose Refreshing Tissue - sachet
This gift set contains 3 of the most popular Christmas scents. I have only ever purchased Christmas eve and I can tell you that you need it in your life. It also comes with Christmas wreath and Winter Wonderland. The jars usually cost around £7.50 each so its really worth it. I think this is going to be a good gift for my mum this year.

If you have any requests please feel free to tweet me leave a comment or email me.

Haul

Yesterday I went shopping and bought a couple of things. I saw some things I loved but they were sold out in my size so im debating whether to get them off the internet as there from H&M and I know how bad delivery is form there.

I got a pair of jeans from H&M which were £9.99. There skinny medium wash jeans and I love them.

This top was £7.99 and I think its gorgeous. Its from the stop racism range too so another bonus.

I got the raspberry ripple shower gel from the body shop because it was down from £4 to £2 and it smells so good. I have a million shower gels to use so I need to make sure I don't get any more.

This is the jumper I really wanted but the one in my size was all ripped :( Its £9.99 from H&M and super beautiful. What do you think should I order it off the internet or leave it??

I also got a few essentials and boring things like the things you put on paper before you put them in ring binders and toothpaste blah blah blah........

Christmas gift guide part 1: Gifts for her

Even though we are only in October I am thinking about what to buy people for Christmas and also what I would like to receive myself. I am going to do a series in what to buy for her and what to buy for him.

This first part of the series is about what to get for a female. All gifts and prices are from boots unless stated otherwise.

Pixi ultimate beauty kit - £20
This beautiful palette contains everything you need for both day and night looks. A great gift for a make up addict or someone who wears minimal make up.

Philosophy ornament in snow angle, peppermint bark and gingerbread girl - £7
These are definetely on my Christmas list this year, I want the Snow Angel one. These are pretty good value considering philosophy's normal prices.  These are 3 in 1 shower gels, bubble baths and shampoos. I would avoid using them as shampoo but otherwise they are a good gift. Plus you get a cute little ornament - whats not to love!

Soap and Glory You Cube Gift Box - £10
In this soap and glory gift box you get a mini flake away, a mini righteous butter, a mini hand food, a mini clean on me and a massive shower puff. I received a gift basically the same as this last year and loved it. I gave some of the things to my mum as I had full sizes of some things and she loved them too, so that just shows this is great for any age group.

Soap and Glory's Heaven Nose - £16
This is great value. You get a formula 1 perfume and a full size righteous butter. Considering the perfume is usually £15 you cant really go wrong with this set. I would be asking for this but I think I have too much soap and glory as it is !!

No7 Mini beautifier - £10
This is a great travel set and contains 3 powder eyeshadows in Innocence, Truffle and Wheatsheaf, with Truffle being my all time favourite eyeshadow from No7. You also get a highlighter, bronze rollerball shimmer and a mini mascara. Well worth the £10 in my opinion.

No7 smokey eye trio - £16
I think I will certainly be buying this gift for someone if I can bear to give it away once I have it. You get 3 eye trio's each with an applicator, a brown eye pencil, a black eye pencil and a mascara. Again well worth the money for what you get.

DKNY Be delicious Be delightful fragrance gift set £32
This is one of the fragrances I have asked for for Christmas. All the DKNY be delicious fragrances are gorgeous and I think most people like them so they make a great fragrance gift.  You get a 30ml perfume and a 100ml body lotion.

Marc Jacobs Oh Lola fragrance gift set - £50
I think this is a great gift to get yourself. I would love it but don't know if I would want someone spending £50 on a perfume for me. It is worth getting it in the set as the 50ml perfume is £47 so your paying £3 more to get a 75ml shower gel and body lotion.

If you want to see another gift guide for her please let me know as I have more ideas I just didn't want this to run on for ever.

Hope your all well Megan xx
